A view from the east

We leave Japan in the morning. After a brief stop in San Francisco we start our next big chapter in South America.

It will be a big change going from the quiet, hyper-order of Japan to the colourful rhythms of Colombia. It will also mark a turn of sorts – across the date line and away from ‘the East’ back towards Europe.

There is much to miss here and after nearly three months in South East Asia and Japan there have been many wonderful, bright and quiet moments to savour – here are some of my favourites…
